
All adoption requests must be received at least 30 days prior to the start of the course.
Step 1
To begin the course adoption process, visit APA’s Course Adoptions portal.
Step 2
If you already have an APA Account, log in to request your exam copy. If you need an APA account, create one for free by selecting “Create an Account.”
Step 3
Once logged in to the portal, you will see the Mastering APA Style Student Workbook featured below the search bar. Select the blue “+ Add Workbook” button to begin your request.
Step 4
Complete the course information form to the best of your ability. Once you are done, select the yellow “Add & Go to Request” button at the bottom of the page.
Step 5
Next, provide your instructor and institution information. Scroll to the bottom of the page to select the yellow “Go to Review” button.
Step 6
Last, verify all information entered, and select “Confirm” to submit your request.

Once you submit an exam copy request and have been verified as an instructor, a member of the APA Course Adoption Team will follow up via email to give you a digital access code to a free copy of the workbook. Review the product and email the APA Course Adoption Team if you have any questions or feedback.
The APA Course Adoption Team will guide you through the course adoption process step-by-step based on your needs and the technical requirements of your school or institution. Instructors must work with APA to complete the course adoption process.
